Imaging under liquids using dynamic AFM techniques is often difficult because of the greatly reduced quality factor (Q-factor) of the cantilever resonance. Even so, Nanotec New Lanza AFM Head have been tested using Frequency Modulation, allowing True Atomic Resolution in liquids to be achieved.
Furthermore, Nanotec has developed a new technique called Jumping Mode plus(JM+) which is now implemented in Nanotec’s Cervantes Full-Mode AFM. Using JM+, the user has unprecedented control of relevant imaging parameters, performing high-resolution AFM measurements of biological samples in their proper environment.
