SPM Chassis
The Nanotec SPM Chassis provides the coarse approach, allows environmental control, and the ability to position the SPM head below a high-powered optical microscope. The Chassis has been designed for easy adaptation to any configuration of the system. It also supports the piezo scanner and the head, as provides the interconnection interface to the Dulcinea control system. There are three possible chassis depending on your needs:
Classic Chassis
Nanotec's classic chassis is bigger than the mini chassis, and allows the possibility of environmenal control and a convenient parking area for the head.
Mini Chassis
The Mini is the smallest chassis that Nanotec offers. If you have limitations of space because you need to install your AFM head in a very reduced space, you can request the Mini classic reduced size chassis. Please take care that this option is not compatible with optical microscope integration, nor does it allow environmental control.
Optical Chassis
With all the advantages of the classic chassis, Nanotec's Optical Chassis for SFM/STM heads has X-Y motion control via built-in micrometer screws, so it is especially convenient to be used with an optical microscope, allowing the movement of the system below the microscope with micrometric precision, thus permitting accurate positioning of a sample for viewing of selected features.
