Changelog
WSxM 4.0 Beta 5.2
- Improvements
- Main channel
- The window size and placement is recovered in a more
precise manner.
- 3d-Modes
- The limits of the scanning axis are checked if the Z
gain is reduced.
- Flooding
- The centers drawing is more precise.
- Bug corrections
- Dynamic mode
- Fixed problems with the dynamic board offsets.
- Jumping mode
- The estimated time to finish the image is now properly
calculated.
- Curves acquisition
- The feedback between FZs works again.
- Third party files
- Removed empty extra line reading some ASCII files.
- The number of rows and columns of Nanonis CITS files were not
read properly.
- Fixed problems reading incomplete Nanonis CITS files.
- Under some circumstances the spectroscopy data were mirrored
reading Nanonis CITS files.
WSxM 5.0 Develop 5.2 (apart from the changes in
WSxM 4.0 Beta 5.2)
- New features
- General Data Acquisition
- There is a new option to auto-scale the channels
viewers when the image acquisition is finished.
- Function generator
- Fixed problems with offsets generating images.
- Improvements
- Hardware detection
- The information in the error messages entering in Data
Acquisition is now more detailed.
- Coarse approach
- The graphical user interface (GUI) is now simpler and
more user-friendly for DC-Motor approach.
- The fine approach method disables the green bar in the
dialog-box.
- Dynamic mode
- The progress-bar during the dynamic tune is updated
smoothly.
- General Spectroscopy Imaging
- The values dialog-bar controls are now disabled
acquiring GSI data.
- Position window
- Improved background drawing when activating and
deactivating the image preview.
- Eagle Scan
- The Y-Scan can be turned off using the Eagle Scan.
- The line showing the scanning line is not drawn, just the arrow
showing the scanning direction.
- The controls for changing the scanning line are now disabled.
- The estimated time to finish the image is not shown.
- Closed loop scanners
- The electronics associated to closed loop scanner can
be switched from both the XY and Z GUIs.
- The closed loop for Z scanners can be activated/deactivated
with the scan paused, mainly for testing purposes as it is not
recommended to activate it in feedback range.
- Improved GUI, removing some useless buttons and using the same
notation for XY and Z parameters.
- Added more information about the feedback activation state and
parameters to the file header.
- Improved axis notation using the sensor data in curves.
- General Data Representation and processing
- The error messages when opening a file fails are now
more detailed.
- New field in the representation settings to set how Z-relative
parameter is used for images.
- Third party files
- Improved Z-Relative management for Nanonis images.
- Improved Z-Relative management for Asylum Research images.
- Bug corrections
- Data Acquisition Wizard
- The scale information was not properly updated.
- Jumping Mode+
- If the tip was moved after pausing the scan in Jumping
Mode+, it stopped jumping.
- Coarse approach
- Fixed problems finding the set-point in the Full Auto
Approach routine.
- Some parameters were not properly updated using Multiple Motor
approach.
- Control dialog-bar
- Fixed problems with the set-point initial value in
contact mode if the acquisition was finished in dynamic mode.
- Dynamic mode
- Fixed problems changing the Frequency Scan Sensitivity.
- Channels viewer
- Fixed problems changing the number of channels if the
Eagle Scan was working.
- Head settings
- Fixed problems with the high voltage bias controls
changing parameters with the acquisition started.
- Piezo settings
- The voltage limits of the selected polarity are now
properly updated.
- Flooding
- Fixed problems with the position of the centers using
non-squared images.
- Spot cleaner
- Pasting data for the first time using the zoom feature
caused some modifications in a corner of the zoomed area.
- Third party files
- Fixed problems reading the amplitude values for Wyko
ASCII files.
