Installation Instructions
- Three versions of the software can be found on the WSxM download page:
- The Release version. This is the best option if you don't need any of the features of the more advanced versions. The Release version is the most stable because it has had a long testing time.
- If you are looking for new capabilities in the software, you may want to download the Beta version. The Beta version is in an advanced testing phase, so it is robust.
- The Develop is the most advanced version, and it is updated continuously, adding new features each day, but it may have some bugs due to the short testing time.
You can download any set of versions and install them in the same computer in order to decide which version you prefer.
While the WSxM program is being downloaded to your computer, please take a moment to complete and send the small form found on the download page. This step is not necessary for the correct installation of the WSxM program, but we appreciate the feedback.
- To install the program, go to the main WSxM download page where you can download the version that best fits with your preferences.
- Once the downloaded file is in your hard disk, run it. The program will automatically perform a self-extraction,
and the WSxM installer will be executed. Depending on the version you have downloaded, the installer will be quite
different. So, here you can find instructions for both installer versions.
Please notice that in order to test the program, we provide sample data files in our download page.
- The program is now installed and ready to execute WSxM.exe
