Performing a new installation of WSxM
- To perform a new installation, when asked to select a type of installation, choose "New Installation".
- When asked to select the destination folder, you must select a non-existing folder or an existing folder
in which there is not a WSxM version installed. Otherwise, you will receive a warning message.
- When asked to select the shortcut name, you must type a non-existing shortcut name. Otherwise, you will
receive a warning message.
Performing a new installation of WSxM (maintaining the settings of an installed version)
- This type of installation will install WSxM to a new folder, but will use the head settings and other
initialization values of an installed version of WSxM.
- To perform this type of installation, when asked to select a type of installation, choose "New Installation
(maintaining settings)".
- Select the version whose settings you want to use. If you don't find the installed version you want to use
in the list, select "Other versions...", click "Next" and browse to the folder of the installed version.
- When asked to select the destination folder, you must select a non-existing folder or an existing folder
in which there is not a WSxM version installed. Otherwhise, you will receive a warning message.
- When asked to select the shortcut name, you must type a non-existing shortcut name. Otherwise, you will
receive a warning message.
Upgrading a WSxM installed version
- This type of installation will replace an installed version of WSxM with the version you have downloaded,
but will maintain all your head settings and other initialization values.
- To perform an upgrade installation, when asked to select a type of installation, choose "Upgrade Installation".
- Select the version you want to upgrade. If you don't find the installed version you want to use in the list,
select "Other versions...", click "Next" and browse to the folder of the installed version.
- When asked to select the shortcut name, type the name you want to use. You can also select the same name
the installed version has.
