WSxM publication
WSxM is a free software, and there is not any mandatory request for its usage, while Nanotec would appreciate that, if I use it to process data, analyze it or render images in a public presentation or scientific magazine, I cite it to help its usage spreading.
For standardization, and in order to follow the evolution of its usage, Nanotec suggests to cite it as "I. Horcas, R. Fernandez, J.M. Gomez-Rodriguez, J. Colchero, J. Gomez-Herrero and A. M. Baro, Rev. Sci. Instrum. 78, 013705 (2007)".
